Wiki Farming is the practice of creating (what are in effect) "sub-wikis" that run on the same Wiki installation. In this way, the primary Wiki (the initial installation) is considered the "seed" Wiki from which users are able to "grow" additional Wikis as suits their needs. CALPER's Wiki supports this farming practice.

In addition to a valuable ecological metaphor, this also allows a simplification of data extraction in examining text production and participation throughout the Wiki Farm.
