Additions:

DealingWithSpam
Removing spam content from Page Revisions:
At present, there is no web-based way to use the Wiki to erase spammed content from the stored "revisions" for each page. And this may not matter, since opening up such a feature to more than just the core/trusted users could be quite problematic (if you do "real" deletions that cannot be "undone"). Also, deleting entire pages from the Wiki can be done (not in this particular Wiki), but when this is done to remove one or two unwanted spammed revisions it is severe overkill.
For users of the Wakka engine, removing spam content from the page revisions can be done through a local MySQL user interface. Wakka stores page content in a table entitled "wakka_pages". Each "page" is stamped with the "user" who authored that particular "revision" of the page. This simple line:
update wakka_pages set body="cleaned" where user="222.248.21.195";
will find any page revisions authored by this (real) spammer, and replace the content of this page with the word "cleaned".
These pages will still exist in the Wiki page histories, but the content (often disgusting) will be "cleaned"! Of course, anything "new" the spammer adds since you run this command will not be effected, but I've found a once-a-week scrubbing of page revisions, coupled with the other suggestions on this page, are reliable ways to minimize and prevent spam, and keep your Wiki clean from their garbage.
Use this and all MySQL command line changes with caution, as one typo can cause unwanted, permanent changes. It is always a good idea to run a backup before doing anything of this sort.
