Some quick notes from the WakkaKeeper, to get you started:
- There is a page on basic text formatting on CALPER's LWiki at AboutWikis
- Formatting is similar to HTML in that you enclose text with formatting "tags", to tell the browser how to render the text.
- Firefox Users (of which I am one): Sadly, the bulleted-list keyboard combo (tab-dash) does not work. It does work in IE.
- One code alteration I made was to allow ease of Right-Aligned text production: Use a double-@'s around text to make it so.
- You need to register and login in order to edit text on any wiki page. Spam bites.
- ACL's have two basic settings: "*" for anybody, and "+" for only users who are logged in. You can also restrict access using specific users' wikinames.
Useful pages: OrphanedPages, WantedPages, TextSearch.
- OrphanedPages are pages to which there are no links.
- WantedPages are pages that have been created (by virtue of referencing a wikiname), but have been given no content.
