LRC Wiki Ideas Brainstorm

Detlef from German wants students to create the vocab/glossary pages for the readings for the scientific German class (each contributing 5 words). I thought this might be a useful tool.

Place for students to collaboratively create a running list of urls on topic. <just curious why you would do this here rather than using something like delicious?>

Collaborate remotely on assignment text (article, web content) without having to manage the file transfer.

Collaborative fairy tales.  Add your piece on your day. Edit anything written before your turn. There is something to be said, however, for the email way of circulating the story - receiving the surprise email in your mailbox with the story to date as opposed to logging into the story on your turn.

Drafting letters.  Text of the copyright permissions letters?  adding the text for various contexts as they arise.

Who can comment? Anyone? Use comments to separate comment text from content text (like in MS Word).

so how can you tell who commented on a doc?  When I click on preview I can't see the difference?  lc

(Random note: Who is doing the 'collaborative fairy tales' project? It sounds interesting to me.)
I think the current settings are you have to be a member of this wiki in order to comment, as I've tried going to the various links from the LrcWikiHomePage? but I get a access denied message of some sort.
